Comic Art project
We Can't see into one.
As much as people want to assume how we all feel,
no one will really know whats going on inside. Peoples minds and souls are hidden under this piece of skin and we'll never really be able to look and understand the eyes, mind and soul of others.
I wanted to incorporate the feeling of silence, anxiety, feeling lost, and not in control throughout this piece because we all feel these emotions. WE ARE LIVING THINGS WE HAVE TO FEEL otherwise we ARE NOT LIVING. We all feel different so being able to incorporate my feelings and perspective on mental illnesses makes this piece so personal and I'm so glad I get to share it.
I used dark lines to indicate the darkness and silence while then having scribbles to show how chaotic and overwhelming things can be.
I first started off with a 20 minute sketch with a couple of eye sockets then to a drawing with acrylic paint and charcoal pencils. Getting some critique I wanted to incorporate some digital art into the piece. I added more solid lines and a clone stamp to make it more dramatic.
